Happy Monday everyone!
Can you believe it's been 5 years? Oh Lord, it's been too long! I just wanted to share 3 things I learned in the few years of blogging and hope that it will help if you're somewhat new to the game.

1. There's No Easy Way To Make Money
It takes so much time, dedication, consistency and commitment to build your blog and audience. It can be a frustrating road if you're purely blogging just for money. For me personally, I started for fun and I had no idea that someone would actually pay me! It took me a while to figure out how to monetize and partner with brands but I didn't start making real money until about 2 years into it. Don't be so hard on yourself if you're not earning anything, just keep at it and blog for fun!

2. You Need Other Blogger Friends
I can't express how important it is to have a good support group of other bloggers who know the struggles. There are a few girls I turn to for advice if I'm stuck on an idea or have a question on how much to charge a client or just need a second opinion about a photo i'm about to post. Find friends you can trust and make sure the friendship is a 50/50 give and take friendship. I've learned the hard way that a lot of girls in this industry only want to take information and not share #lame-- But i'm lucky to have found a few good friends who aren't afraid to be open and honest as I am with them.

3. Expect Disappointment
Whether you're not happy with your audience stats and growth or bummed out that someone else got the brand partnership you wanted, something will always come up. Lately I've been really disappointed with the growing number of cheaters-- bloggers buying followers, comments and likes. It's disheartening and disappointing but disappointments exists in this world and you should prepare yourself for it. When you're feeling like this, turn to your blogger friends because chances are, they're frustrated too or they'll be able to offer you advice.

I just want to say Thank YOU to all of my followers. Your support means everything to me and I wouldn't be there without you. And for those who have been following me since the beginning-- THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you for sticking with me and challenging me!

xoxo,
Miriam
